"Straw colored in the glass. Nose of ripe peach and almonds. Round in the mouth, quite a bit of malolactic, with nuts, lemons, and very ripe stone fruits. Great representation of Godello"

"Medium gold in color with a fairly mellow nose of citrus zest and field flowers. Surprisingly round and bland on the front palate with flavors of chamomile, green apples, and lemon with bitter lemon zest hitting on finish. This is a serviceable offering although I greatly prefer their comparable Rioja red. "

"Pure purple in the glass with a light pink rim. Big aromatic nose of fresh roses, dried flowers, violets, red fruits, grape jolly rancher, crushed rocks. In the mouth, flavors of red and black fruits, hibiscus, and cocoa nibs with a touch of cinnamon. Medium to high tannins with a medium lingering finish. This is a wine that needs time: starts out slow and underperforms. However, with air and opportunity, really shows complexity and life. Will benefit from 5-8 years more for full flavor integration. Beautiful light gold color in the glass. Nose of orange zest, lemon, grapefruit, dry aged cheese. In the mouth, unctuous minerals, citrus zest, Meyer lemon curd, tangerines, and a very long smooth sulfurous finish with an endless lingering of orange, tangerine, and mandarine.

Camellia

I picked up a red camellia and a couple eucalyptus branches from my garden this morning. I made this simple flower arrangement.
